Meet Sheldon

Sheldon is a chartered professional accountant in St. John’s, NL with over 20 years of experience. While still completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree at Memorial University, he started his professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) with 3 work term placements. Sheldon obtained invaluable experience working at PwC and had the opportunity to service a wide range of clients from all sectors of the economy. After being hired by PwC upon graduation, Sheldon went on to complete his chartered accountant designation while working full time. During his career at PwC, Sheldon travelled all over Canada and the United States assisting local PwC offices with various engagements. This ranged from large multinational audits of publicly traded companies to specialized engagements of smaller organizations.

Sheldon went on to work in the insurance industry and managed a team of professional accountants. He was responsible for overseeing all the financial reporting requirements of a multibillion-dollar group of companies. This included individual company financial statements, consolidated group reporting, various internal reports and all tax reporting to CRA. Sheldon worked with all divisions within the organization to ensure all reporting requirements were met (Finance, Payroll, Marketing, Acquisitions, Trust accounting, etc.).

Sheldon really enjoys working with a variety of clients and embraces the fact that they are all unique and each have a different set of needs. He believes in treating everyone the same regardless of how large or small the job may be. Sheldon is known to respond in a timely manner to any questions or concerns raised by his clients.
